Women in Rotary

Men also welcome!

It is a widely held belief that Rotary is a men only organisation – not so in Kingston Rotary Club!

Kingston's membership of about 55 is now 25% women, having grown to that since 1992 when the first ladies joined and started to play an active part in all things Rotary. Women in Kingston Rotary Club now play an increasingly important role in the activities of the Club, chairing committees, leading projects, and in recent years leading the Club itself. The year 2000 saw the first lady President of the Club. This was quickly followed in 2002 by another lady stepping into that very demanding, but also very fulfilling role. These two ladies have both subsequently been awarded Paul Harris Fellowships, the highest accolade that can be bestowed on Club members. Our current President is also a lady.
